1. Verizon
Verizon occupies the top spot in terms of brand value in the list of the top 20 telecom operators globally in 2020, even after showing a downward trend of 10.5%. Last year it was placed at 2nd position at a brand value of 71.15 billion U.S. dollars, but this year it has toppled other rival brands for the first position with a brand value of 63.69 billion U.S. dollars.
2. AT&T
AT&T lost its hold on the first position as it was down to 32.1%. It occupies the second spot in the list of the top 20 telecom operators globally in 2020 with a brand value of 59.1 billion U.S. dollars, which is down from 87 billion U.S. dollars in 2019.
3. China Mobile
China Mobile has held its position at number 3rd in the list of the top 20 telecom operators in the world in 2020. It posted its brand value at 49.02 billion U.S. dollars, which was down 11.9% from last year’s 55.67 billion U.S. dollars.
4. Deutsche Telekom
Another telecommunication company that has been able to hold on to its position at 4th is Deutsch Telekom. It posted its brand value for the year 2020 at 39.95 billion U.S. dollars, down 13.6% from last year’s figure of 46.25 billion U.S. dollars.
5. NTT Group
The Nippon Telegraph & Telephone Corporation, also known as NTT Group, is placed in fifth position in the top 20 telecom operators list in the world in 2020. Its brand value has dropped 12.8% from 41.67 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to 36.35 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
6. Xfinity
Xfinity was placed at 6th position in 2019 and has maintained its place in 2020. Its brand value has shown an upward trend of 6.4% and has risen to 28.82 billion U.S. dollars from last year’s figures of 27.09 billion U.S. dollars.
7. China Telecom
China Telecom occupied the 9th position in terms of brand value in the year 2019 but has been placed at seventh position in the top 20 telecom operators in the world in 2020. The company has shown a downward trend of 2.8%, and its brand value has dropped from 20.63 billion U.S. dollars to 20.05 billion U.S. dollars
8. Spectrum
Spectrum has surpassed its expectations and shown an upward gain of 25.0%. Last year it was placed at 12th position at a brand value of 15.41 billion U.S. dollars, but in the year 2020, it is at 8th place with a brand value of 19.26 billion U.S. dollars.
9. Vodafone Group
Vodafone is placed at the ninth position in the top 20 telecom operators list in 2020, although it was at 7th position with a brand value of 21.32 billion U.S. dollars last year. The company has shown a downward graph of 10.3%, and its current brand value is 19.12 billion U.S. dollars
10. Orange S.A
Orange S.A lost its hold at the 8th position as it was down 13.7% from last year. It currently occupies the 10th spot in the list of the top 20 telecom operators globally in 2020 with a brand value of 18.13 billion U.S. dollars, which is down from 21.00 billion U.S. dollars in 2019.
11. Softbank
Softbank was placed at 10th position last year but is currently at 11th position in the top 20 telecom operators list in the world in 2020. Its brand value is at 16.17 billion U.S. dollars.
12. Au
From 11th au has shifted its position to 12th as it showed a downward trend of 11.1%. Its brand value in 2019 was 17.62 billion U.S. dollars, whereas in 2020 was 15.66 billion U.S. dollars.
13. Movistar
Movistar was in 13th position in the year 2019 and has maintained its place in the year 2020. Its brand value has shown a downward trend of 9.8% and has fallen from 10.60 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to 9.60 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.

At number 15, Sky has entered the top 20 telecom operators list in the world in 2020. It has shown a downward slope of 10.8% as its brand value has fallen from 10.39 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to 9.27 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
16. Etisalat
In these turbulent times, Etisalat showed an upward trend of 2.0% and entered the list of the top 20 telecom operators globally in 2020. Previously it was placed at 19th position at a brand value of 8.30 billion U.S. dollars, and currently, it is at 16th position with a brand value of 8.47 billion U.S. dollars.
17. Telstra Corporation
Telstra Corporation is placed at 17th position in the list of top telecom operators in 2020. It has shown a downward slope of 24%, and its brand value has decreased from last year’s figures of 10.60 billion U.S. dollars to 8.05 billion U.S. dollars in 2020.
18. STC
STC or Saudi Telecom Company has shown a growth of 13.1% and entered the list of top 20 telecom operators in 2020 at 18th position, and this is an up from 24th of last year. In the year 2019, its brand value was 7.09 billion U.S. dollars, and in 2020 it is 8.02 billion U.S. dollars

The Italian company TIM has dropped from 17th to 19th position in the top telecom operators list in 2020. With a downward trend of 16.3%, the company dropped from 8.70 billion U.S. dollars in 2019 to 7.29 billion U.S. dollars in 2020
