In 1955, Dabolim international airport was constructed by Portugues, function as civilian airport & airbase for the Indian Navy both. This airport is operated by the airport authority of India & owned by the Indian Navy.

9. Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport (PAT)

For the last many years Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport used to rank in 13-15 position, but due to drastic passenger traffic to this airport has made it one of the busiest airport in India. Although this airport is an international airport yet due to its short runway with length of 7,000 feet, it is restricted for international flights.
